Accessibility statement

Our commitment

Medi XXI Gabinet de Solucions Ambientals, S.L., owner of proyectoguardian.com, wants the GUARDIAN project website to be accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use. It has been built following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, level AA), taking as a reference Spanish Royal Decree 1112/2018 on the accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications.

What we have done

• A structure of headings, landmarks and links that can be navigated by keyboard, with a skip-to-content link.
• Visible focus, sufficient colour contrast and text that can be enlarged without loss of information.
• Alternative text for meaningful images, and forms with labels and error messages.
• Animations that are switched off when the system asks for reduced motion.
• Videos that only load when the user plays them.

Known limitations

• Some images in older news items may lack a sufficiently descriptive alternative text or contain text within the image.
• The PDF and Word documents linked from some articles and news items, as well as some third-party logos, may not meet every accessibility requirement.
• Embedded videos rely on the YouTube player, and the availability and quality of their captions depend on that platform.
